Our flameworked knitting needles are made from borosilicate (pyrex) glass which is much more durable than other types of glass.
My first pair went on a 20 mile backpacking trip, riding in an extra sock during the day and knitting away at night.
While these needles may not survive a fall off a cliff, they stand up well to everyday use and are ideal for the knitter who enjoys smooth, fast, beautiful needles.
